Why ouais?
It started with a shirt that said oui.
We kept seeing them in shops, on Instagram and in airport gift stores. They were perfectly spelled and perfectly French, but they didn't sound like anyone we knew.
In France, nobody says oui to their friends. They say ouais. It's shorter, looser and more real. It's the French you don't get from a textbook, only from living it.
So we made the shirt we actually wanted: minimal, well made and fluent.
Ouais is for people who've been there, or who plan to be. People who'd rather sound like a local than look like a souvenir.
How it's made
Every piece is made to order on heavyweight, garment-dyed cotton, with the logo embroidered rather than printed. Made to order means no overstock and no waste. Your shirt exists because you wanted it.
Pas oui. Ouais.
